Kelly Mathews took advantage of SWP’s volunteer benefit, which allows its team members time each year to volunteer in the community. Kelly spent her time with Habitat for Humanity Chicago, building homes for families with low incomes. Why is Habitat for Humanity needed in Chicagoland? About 420,000 of Chicago’s working poor live in substandard housing in Chicago metro area. Half of these people live in the City of Chicago. Nationwide, Habitat has built, rehabilitated and repaired over 800,000 homes. Read more about the organization’s impact.
