Joseph Thompson

Wealth Advisor

As a Wealth Advisor, Joe helps successful individuals and families manage their financial lives and the complexities that are a part of it. He brings an analytical curiosity to every planning question, allowing him to provide tailored advice to clients that covers all aspects of their wealth strategy: portfolio construction and monitoring, tax planning, philanthropic strategies, and estate planning.

Prior to joining SWP, Joe was a Financial Advisor at Prime Financial Services. In this role, he developed financial plans for families that emphasized the role of tax and retirement income planning.

Joe holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Today, he leverages both his passion for math and economics to build customized financial plans that can drive clients toward their long-term goals.

Outside of the office, you can find Joe next to a BBQ smoker or exploring local hiking trails. This interest in hiking and the great outdoors is what led him to ESG investing — a strategy that he incorporates in his own investment portfolio and something he enjoys helping clients implement as well, when desired.
